TODAI HISTORY
Todai Franchising, LLC and subsidiaries (collectively
"Todai") develop, franchise, license and operate
Japanese seafood buffet restaurants under the name of
Todai.
The first Todai Restaurant opened in Santa Monica in
1985 and, by 1997, ten Todai Restaurants were in business
in major Southern California cities such as Glendale,
Orange, Woodland Hills, and Studio City.
Recognizing the potential for unlimited growth and
the viability of Japanese seafood buffet business concept,
several investors and founders formed Todai Franchising,
LLC ("TFL") in 1997 and began franchising.
In 1998, TFL was restructured under the new leadership
of Mr. Hans Kim, CEO. Under his leadership, the Company
opened its first company-owned store in San Jose, CA
in 1998 and the first overseas store in Hong Kong in
2002.
As of November 2004, there are twenty-seven Todai restaurants
operating in nine states nationwide and in Hong Kong. |
